It was my privilege to offer pastoral care to Charlie at St. Anns Home. My own son graduated recently from the College of Holy Cross and when I brought Charlie communion, we'd always have a little chit-chat about Holy Cross and invariably part with a "go Crusaders". I found some information from his playing days at HC and he definitely perked up on hearing some of the "old names"... though his wonderful professional life was behind him by the time he spent time at St Anns, I could see his kindness, humility, and generosity on display very clearly... those values continued strong in his life. I also work at the Abbey of the Genesee and an old classmate, Eddie "Brother Christian" Walsh always spoke very highly of him and prayer for him as well.
God bless, and rest in peace, "Chuckin" Charlie...

I am so sorry for your loss. Judge Maloy was my hero in the Rochester Judiciary. I was assigned to Judge Maloy as his district attorney for many months. We became close friends and I was his part time law clerk for many years after his election. He was kind, insightful, and always treated anyone who appeared before him with respect and sensitivity. Working with Judge Maloy was a highlight of my legal career and I am so sorry for his passing. I will always remember passing out his election leaflets and almost every man that I gave a leaflet to remarked that they recognized chuckin Charley. Evidently that was his nickname from his days at Aquinas. We had so much fun and I was honored to appear before him every day. Judge Malloy left this world a better place and I will miss him, Hank Jesserer
