Andrew (Andy) Victor Palumbo, 62, of Ashland, MA passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2024. Andy was born on August 22, 1961, to Victor and Rita Palumbo in Canandaigua, NY. As a child Andy loved to go on long bike rides with his Dad Vic. Andy graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1979, and he received a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Andy's culinary inspiration came from working in his Uncle Ray's bakery and started his professional career at Cheap Charlie's in upstate NY. His professional journey took him to Colorado where he started his first catering business, then to Maui, Hawaii where he was a pastry chef at Longhi's and finally to Massachusetts where he settled and started a family. In 1996, Andy and business partner Lisa established New York Deli-Park Ave. Catering in Westborough, MA. Andy served his loyal customers with love and pride for nearly 30 years and enjoyed sharing his culinary expertise with everyone he met, especially family and friends. Andy is survived by former spouse Lisa Caldeira and their children Carina (27) of Providence, RI and Vincent (25) of Ashland, MA. His siblings: Gary (Brooke), Mark (Priscilla), Victoria (Stu) Tucker, Robert (Kit), and Martha (Alan) Peterman, a large extended family, countless friends, coworkers, and his King Pins bowling family. Andy was predeceased by his parents Victor and Rita Palumbo. Andy had a genuine interest in serving others and most importantly spending time with his children and family. Andy had a passion for life and traveling, especially to Canandaigua, NY where he loved preparing meals for his family no matter the occasion or to drive around the city pier giving out cookies from the trunk of his car. Andy worked tirelessly ahead of the sunrise which showcased his loyalty to his customers that he loved so much at the Deli since 1996. When not working, Andy enjoyed his family, cars, his bowling league, motorcycles, music, working on his home, beaches, sunshine, and hosting family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that had the great opportunity to connect with him. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 5th, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church, 95 N.
