Obituary of Mary A. Bailey

Mary Agnes Babiarz Bailey 1946-2024 Canandaigua NY: Mary passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 10, 2024 after a long and courageous fight with Parkinsons disease and its complications. She is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob) of 57 years, her two sons, Robert (Rob) and Kevin, and her daughters-in-law Noralee and Kim. She is also survived by her loving granddaughters Clay, Lane, and Kole, as well as her sweet kitty Chantel and grand-kitty Loki. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Agnes and Chester Babiarz. Mary was raised in New York Mills, NY where she met her husband Bob sitting at the desk next to hers in their sophomore science class. She affectionately called him “Beatle,” after the weekly Beatle Bailey comics strip, and continued to do so throughout their years together. Mary loved raising her family. She was so proud of her sons and loved them deeply, cheering them on at every high school sports game and future life’s achievements. She was an active volunteer at Monroe Community Hospital, sharing endless empathy and care for others. When her grandchildren started to arrive, Mary came alive loving, teaching and supporting them in all their growing experiences. Her love for them was unqualified. She loved traveling, whether on Baltic cruises or across the US in the motorhome with Bob and her cats. Mary also had a deep love for all animals, especially her cats, Tiffany, Cuddles, and Chantel. Each one brought her so much joy. Although Mary’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing to all of us. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family on Wednesday October 16, 2024, at the Fuller Funeral Home: 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua, NY. Donations can be made in Mary’s memory to Lollypop Farm Humane Society. https://www.lollypop.org/ To share a memory or express condolences online, please visit www.fullerfh.com.
