Cynthia Lee Galens Obituary

Cynthia Lee Galens (Stanton)

1958-2024

Cynthia Lee Galens (Stanton) of Canandaigua passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents, Bradley and Ruth Stanton and son Matthew Barber. Cynthia is survived by her loving daughter, Emily Coates; her three grandchildren, Jackson, Beckham, and Carter; sister Pamela Colvin and brother Brad Stanton; and several nieces and nephews.

Cynthia was a well-known member of the Canandaigua Academy color guard, which was instructed by her father, Bradley Stanton. Cynthia was also well known for her incredible artistic talent, which spanned from decorative cookies and cakes to intricate wall murals and paintings. But what she enjoyed most of all was being around family. Whether it was playing card games on Saturday nights, or having her grandkids come for a visit, you could see her joy in her beautiful smile.

Cynthia will be remembered by many and missed by so many more.

A celebration of life gathering will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
