Obituary of Frank Patrick Carroll

Frank Patrick Carroll, 78, of Victor, New York, passed away unexpectedly at home the morning of January 4, 2025. Frank will be remembered most fondly for his unwavering love for his wife, Sheila Carroll, whom he married on October 14, 1967. Their partnership spanned 57 years, and it was a union that exemplified the very essence of love and commitment. Together, they shared a lifetime of memories, joys, challenges, and triumphs. They enjoyed being snowbirds in Florida for many years where they would listen to live music and enjoy frequent trips in their golf cart. His devotion to her was apparent to all who knew them, and their marriage was a beautiful example of how love endures, growing stronger with time. Frank loved his son and daughter and took great pride in their achievements. When Brian moved to St. Louis, Frank slowly became a dedicated follower of the St Louis Cardinals watching the team at Busch Stadium or in Florida for Spring training. He would rarely miss a game on television. Their father-son connection was strengthened through countless conversations debating strategies for the next Cardinals win. Frank's love for the great outdoors was a gift he passed down to his daughter and grandchildren, who carry it with them on every sunrise hike and quiet moment by the campfire. Frank also has a special place in his heart for his three grandsons. He found joy in sharing his passion for fishing, collecting baseball cards, and watching them play baseball. If there was a sleepover at Frank's house, there would always be a bowl of ice cream before bed. Frank's heart swelled with pride as he watched his grandkids excel in the trades, following in his footsteps with hard work, determination, and skill. Over his 37+ years as a volunteer member of the Fishers Fire Department, as "Lucky 13" he became not just a colleague, but a mentor and true friend to many, always ready to share his knowledge and experience. Frank was known for his honesty and for doing what was right. He was a man of his word. He was a person who embraced life with an open heart, always ready to lend a helping hand and share a smile or a story. Throughout his life, Frank found joy in the small, peaceful moments. He enjoyed feeding the birds from his front porch and tending to his meticulous flowers and landscaping. Known for his dedication and discipline, Frank was a familiar face at the local YMCA where he rarely missed a workout. Frank is survived by his loving wife Sheila; his children, Brian (Shannon), Tammy (Bryant); his grandchildren Jakob, Tavish, Boston; his sister Sue (Gerard), step siblings, many nieces and nephews, neighbors, and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his father Frank H. Carroll and mother Eleanor C. Carroll. Frank will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. Friends may call Saturday, January 11 from 2-5 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 10 AM funeral service will be held Monday, January 13 at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. The burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, 130 N. Pearl St. Canandaigua. A celebration of life ceremony will follow in the spring.
