Obituary of Geraldine Benham

Geraldine J. Benham Loving; mother, grandmother, great grandmother Canandaigua Formerly of Hopewell NY passed February 6, 2009 at the Crest Manor Nursing Home in Fairport NY. She was 88. Geraldine and her Husband John owned & operated their farm in Hopewell for many years. After they moved in 1977 to Hillsboro Texas where they lived for 29 years. Then returning to this area. She was a book keeper for the McElwee Furiture Store in Canandaigua for many years. She also was a member of the Hopewell fire Department ladies auxiliary. She was a member of the Hopewell Home Dem. Back in Texas she was a member of the Pink Ladies’ at the Hillsboro Hospital. She was an avid golfer and a member of the B.P.W. in Hillsboro Texas. She is survived by her children; Patricia Welker, Linda Culver, John Benham III. Grandchildren; Todd, Robin, Douglas, Sarah, Eleanor. Four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Benham Jr. Friends may call Sunday from 12 noon to 1pm. Followed by a funeral service at the Fuller Funeral Home 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her name to a local Hospice of the donor’s choice.
