Obituary of Eileen Lehman

EILEEN LEHMAN CANANDAIGUA: Eileen Lehman, 43, of Gulf Beach Shores, died at her parent's Hopewell home surrounded by her family and friends on Tuesday, February 17 after a 10 year battle with cancer. The courage and strength she displayed during that trying time has and will continue to serve as an inspiration to others. Eileen was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy (Class of 1983) and received her Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Nazareth in 1988. She had been employed by Ontario County Information Services for 18 years. She was a member and treasurer of the Palmyra Reformed Church, a member and Past President and Past Secretary of the Hopewell Fire Department Auxiliary, a member of the Black Mountain Cloggers, served on the Board of Directors of the Gulf Beach Shores Association and enjoyed working on her class reunions. Survivors include her parents Charles and Sandra (Dunk)Lehman of Hopewell Center, her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Brenda Lehman of Stanley, her nieces Rebecca and Emily, her Aunts Helen Dhondt of Hopewell and Roberta (Leonard) Main of Palmyra, her extended family of many friends, co-workers and cousins and her special feline friends Bruno, Boots, Bud and CeCe. Friends may call at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Palmyra Reformed Church, 232 Canandaigua Street, Palmyra, on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Palmyra Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to the Palmyra Reformed Church, the Ontario County Humane Society, the Hopewell Fire Department or to her scholarship fund that has been established at Canandaigua Academy.
