Obituary of Valerie E. Carey-Naylor
It is with much sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of, Valerie Elena Carey-Naylor, 52 of Greece, NY on February 19, 2018.
Calling hours will be Saturday February 24, 2018 at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua, NY from 1pm to 3pm, with funeral services to immediately follow at 3pm at the funeral home. Reverend Lynn Spence, of the Methodist church in Clifton Springs will officiate and burial will follow at the convenience of the family at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Victor, NY.
Valerie was born in Canandaigua, NY to Wells and Judith Carey on August 26, 1965. She graduated from Victor Central High School in 1982, and went on to work at F.W. Woolworth Co. at Eastview Mall as a Department head until 1983. From there, Valerie worked in production at Volplex Plastics in Canandaigua, NY until 1988, when she moved on to Nalge International as a Department head in Silk screening and in shipping/receiving, until 2000. Valerie changed career paths after this and trained and worked as a Medical billing specialist for a busy Internal Medicine practice, and then onto a local private medical affiliate in Canandaigua until she retired.
She enjoyed movies, woodworking, camping and spending time with those she loved.
Valerie is survived by her son Sean Carey of Farmington, daughter Amanda Sweeney of Rochester, father Wells Carey of Farmington, sister Tamara (Eric) Lehman of Clifton Springs, partner Timothy Naylor of Greece, an aunt Barbara Frasca, cousins John (Linda) Frasca; their children and grandchildren in Canandaigua and cousins Donna (Tom) Trautman; their children and grandchildren in Bristol. Additionally, Valerie is survived by her aunt, Pauline Martin along with cousins; Jennifer (Edward) Cohen, Jeffrey (Barbara) Martin and Jill (Craig) Pianka, their children and grandchildren in Rhode Island.
She is preceded in death by her mother Judith Anne Martin Carey, brother, Sean Michael Carey, uncle, James Martin, maternal grandparents Frank and Elizabeth Martin, paternal grandparents Clarence and Cecelia Carey, and great aunts Beatrice Wheaton and Anne Strohman.
