Obituary of Barbara Ann Emerson

Barbara Woodard Emerson Gorham- Barb Emerson passed away, Monday, March 19, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Louis Emerson; daughter, Lindsay (Brady) Hoover; son, Justin Emerson; grandchildren, Owen and Jack Hoover; sister, Calla (David) Mellor, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Barb worked for many years at IEC Electronics and Canandaigua National Bank. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and baking for her family and friends. Sunday dinners were her favorite. She really enjoyed spending countless hours with her beloved grandsons. True to her adventurous spirit, Barb recently took up bicycle riding. She was a long time, and loyal friend to countless individuals. Barb faced many challenges in her life. She tackled these with grace, dignity, optimism, and a determined spirit never to give up.
