Marsha Dzubay Tillson

Farmington/Canandaigua- Marsha Tillson passed away peacefully on October 6, 2018 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She was 97.

Marsha was born in Waterbury, Connecticut. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Chicago which led to work as a Statistician for the Bell Labs in NYC. Marsha met her husband George (Ark) on a hike in the Catskills. They moved to Farmington, NY where they raised a family. Marsha enjoyed family camping and canoe trips as well as gardening. Later in life, she developed a passion for running. As a member of the Greater Rochester Track Club, Marsha competed weekly in races and held a national age group record. When she became legally blind, Marsha kept running but also studied Italian on tape and Braille.

Marsha was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, George Tillson.

She is survived by two children, Tom (Ellen) Tillson, Pauline Kennedy; six grandchildren, Alix, Jeffrey, Jacob, Kyler, Hannah and Cecilia; one great grandson, Carter; and many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours. A private family service and burial will be held in Canada.
