My condolences to the family and all who loved Kirby. It’s so hard to lose someone we love, but the seeming finality of death is what makes it especially difficult. Job 14:14,15 gives us confidence that God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. His Word, the Bible, gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28,29) May this bring you some comfort during this very difficult time.

Dear Mary and family
I am so sorry for the loss of Kirby:( Kirby was a man that was gentle and inspiring and those qualities made him a teacher and coach that I always looked up to..not to say those blue eyes and how good looking he was always made the girls team play better! Then you had to go marry him and crush all the girls dreams!! Mary, I hope you know how much you both have given to the community is never forgotten and you two have many people that love you! (Even with your political beliefs and that your another mouthy Rayburn girl) I am sorry I cant be there as I am a traveling nomad, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you...and Lowes will never be the same. Love you all Carol

I will never forget the day in gym class I got hurt somewhat badly and I hobbled over to Mr Green in agony. After a few moments of asking me questions he said "ok, walk it off". And to this day I say it in general conversation to others and to my own son! He gently assessed the situation made sure I wasn't dying and kindly told me that phrase. A very nice man, and I wish he could have "walked this off".

Kirby seemed to be a quiet, supportive strength to many people in unnoticed ways. He was that way for me. As I interacted with Kirby, he did not have to use many words. A man's handshake and the look in his eyes speaks much. That was Kirby. Thanks, Kirby, for your support and confidence in me.

I am saddened to hear of Kirby's passing. What a great guy! I recall the many meetings when he represented Bloomfield at AD meetings for The Fingerlakes Athletics Association. his candor and sense of humor made most of those meetings interesting and more times than not fun!
I was blessed to know him, and was also fortunate to coach his son Matt who is one of the finest athletes to ever play for Canandaigua Academy.
I recall like yesterday going to the Green household for team meals to prepare the kids for an upcoming game, and also talk about the "Monster" Buck that Kirby was getting ready to harvest in the fertile land that surrounded the Green property!
Debby and I want to convey our Condolences to Mary and all the children and family
on your loss. Kirby was an wonderful man and l eaves a legacy for the entire family to cherish.

Early in my high school soccer coaching career I had the honor to coach against Kirby and his Bloomfield Bomber teams. Honesty, to the point and a hearty sense of humor were Kirby’s impressions left on my as a coach, and that is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of his legacy left for former players, students, family, and friends. I still chuckle hearing him yell out “Bingo, Bango, Boingo!” Just after a Bomber player put a ball into the back of an opposing team’s net. RIP Kirby.

First I would like to extend my thoughts and prayers to Kirby's family.
I can remember Kirby as a player against my father (Harlan Munn) Victor basketball team in the 60's. Dad always spoke highly of Kirby.
In the 80's I began my career as a coach in the Finger Lakes and faced Kirby's Bloomfield teams many times. He was a great coach not only as a strategist but as a mentor of young athletes. We both shared the same profession, life long physical education teachers and often would run into each other during a phys-ed conference. I recall Kirby was instrumental in running the Elks Club free throw shooting contest...yep that was Kirby, a man who volunteered his time to help others.
Rest in Peace my friend.
