I am sending well wishes and peace to you and your family for your father. He was quite the gentleman and hero! My father fought in WWII as well. So proud to be a daughter of a veteran and a long line of veterans who fought for our wonderful country! Loved reading the story of your father and felt the pride you feel for him, as well! God bless you all!

I wish to send my sincerest sympathy to your family at this time. Your Dad, Janet, was a marvel of determination! I marvel at all he accomplished in life, especially when faced with such trauma post-war. He had a calling to be here on Earth and make a difference in it, didn’t he? It’s inspiring. Thank you for sharing all that he conquered in his life. He truly was one of the Grestest Generation and though I never knew him, I see his fortitude in his family. Thinking of you all at this time, and praying that the Lord and these fond memories continue to bring you peace.

To my invincible Uncle Bob,
You will be miss more than words can express. But your story will forever be a part of our family lore. The strength and commitment to our nation with your service during WWII. The pure mental strength to survive the events of war will always be a source of pride. You continued to give of yourself to the then small community of Canandaigua with opening the Hunt’s paint plumbing and tile store. Your foresight to then pivot when the big stores arrived with the conversion to a laundry mat.
You have always shown your spirit of service, the Shriners, the Masons 73 years! And also your friendships. You have always been there for the many people you considered your friends. The guys you served with in the military the partners in business the McDonald’s crew and the neighbors.
You worked hard to give your family a good life and set them up for a bright future
You were the best big brother my Dad could have asked for! While butting heads as kids you were each other’s biggest fans.
On a personal note thank you for the business advice and experience you shared along my professional journey. It helped smooth out the bumps early on.
The things I will miss most are that twinkle in your eye when you got the upper hand during the conversation. The shy smile when being complimented. But mostly the joke phone calls with your silly fake voice…… yes Uncle Bob I would go on a date with you……
Love,
Your Niece, Pam

Dear Hunt Family,
I am sorry to learn of Bob's passing, I have known him since the "Laundry Land", he always came into the Bank where I worked and then in later years he would stop into the Hopewell Town Hall and chat. RIP Bob. My thoughts and prayers to the family. Your wonderful memories will help you get through the next couple of months. The article in the Daily Messenger a few weeks ago was very nice also!
