Dear Gregg, Tibbie, and Jenna,
We are so sorry to here of Bernie's passing. We had a nice visit with Bernie at Wegmans in the late fall. I was in the back of our car placing groceries and I heard, "who is that old fart in the back of the car", directed to my wife, Mary. I looked around and it was Bernie, we had a good laugh and he told us he was 94 and had to show us his new truck. As always, he was sharp and witty and had us laughing.
I had the pleasure of working for Bernie at B R Dewitt for most of five years. This was the most enjoyable time in my working career as he had your back with both customers and the company if you worked hard and did your best, he always called us a team and we were in every sense of the word. It was a sad day for all of us when he decided to retire but on the other hand it gave him 30 + years of a great retirement Bernie expected you to be as dedicated to the job as he was and we as a group respected that, defiantly "old school". Bernie will be missed but always remembered.
Ken and Mary Niles

Hi Nina, Thank you for your kind words. I hope your family is doing well. Jenna is a Doctor of Education and lives in Rochester. She works as a consultant for the Education Advisory Board based in D.C. Before COVID, she spent a lot of time flying to colleges giving seminars. She’s been able to work from home via Zoom. I’m sure she’s thankful for all the 4-H Public Speaking experience she had growing up! We still do dog sports, but don’t have horses any longer. Best to you & yours, ~Tibbie

Gregg, Tibbie and Jenna,
My deepest sympathy for the passing of your dad and grandpa.
He was an awesome guy with a quick Witt. He always kept me laughing. As I sit here and reminisce I see his face with his beautiful smile with a twinkle in his eyes.
He's in Heaven now with your mom and Chris, just think how happy they are to be together again.
All my love to you..Valerie
