Hey Dad, we just passed your first birthday without you. Things have changed and we're all doing okay. I played your old Gibson today and it's sounding as good as ever. We'll all be seeing you soon. I'm sure God has you building mansions in Heaven. Don't forget my home theater so we can play your favorite games on a really big screen. Take care of my Abbey. I know you two never met on Earth but I know you're fawning over her now. Thanks Dad...for everything. I'm going to miss calling you with stupid jokes and gabbing for 30 minutes with pontificating bloviations about some innane thing that would solve most bouts of insomnia...all to end with an agreement that it required more thought and at least three more side jokes that only we'd understand. So many people have reasons to say sorry to someone when they die, but not us. We would lay it all out on the table and enjoyed a form of unabated transparency that cut through all the glittering generalities people use to hide their real feelings. So I'm happy to say, I'm not sorry for anything. I love you. Happy birthday in Heaven. You deserve the beauty and love that envelopes you. XO, John

Hank and I are so very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was an outstanding person and always thinking of someone else rather than himself. He and Jan were always there when something needed to be done. You will be missed Joe! RIP...Mary Ann & Hank Trickey
