Robert C. Crane Obituary

Robert C. Crane (Bob) ended his long health battle at age 71.


A lifelong resident of Canandaigua, the youngest brother of Jim Crane of Shortsville NY and Mike Crane of Houston TX. He is also survived by six 6 nieces & nephews and 10 grandnieces & nephews.


Bob bids farewell to his many friends that he occasionally shared a Jack Daniel's with especially John Jones and Tommy Cook both of Canandaigua.


Bob graduated in 1972 from Canandaigua Academy where he lettered in track and football. He was an all-state tackle and earned the nickname Mountain. Bob had a 45-year career as a skillful machinist for Canandaigua Wine Company and retired from Constellation Brands in 2018. He was an avid camper, hunter and fisherman, a true outdoorsman. An award-winning skeet shooter: well known for taking winning trout in annual tournaments, participated in several local and national sportsmen clubs, supported many organizations that are dedicated to the sports he loved and to veteran assistance organizations.


A private funeral service will be held at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. in Canandaigua.
